Anthony Rapp currently plays the first openly gay character in Star Trek, Lieutenant Paul Stamets in Star Trek: Discovery. His other SciFi related roles include a guest appearance in The X-Files. He also worked on the video game Star Trek Online: Awakening as a voice actor and enjoys playing video games himself.
Rapp is also a singer and started his career portraying Mark Cohen in the Broadway production of Rent, and later in the show's film version and tour. Other roles include appearances in Six Degrees of Separation, A Beautiful Mind, Kidnapped, and 13 Reasons Why.
